NRS Cataraft Raft Nose Cone

3D MODEL DESCRIPTION:
Replacement Nose Cone for older NRS catarafts. NRS has discontinued the replacement part.

This design has been tested for one full season and has not leaked.

Don't throw your old raft away!

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:
Design has three pieces. Two inner pieces and an outer piece. The inner pieces are printed flat on the build plate. The outer place is printed upright and should only require support in the middle.

Print with ASA if you have a heated buildplate and enclosure otherwise PETG or high quality PLA.

-0.8mm nozzle
-0.2mm layer height
- No support for inner part A or inner part B
-Pause at layer 58 on inner part B to insert hex nuts. Hex nuts will be printed over and will be locked inside the print.
-The outer cone is printed upright and needs support
-The main M10-1.5 nut is sandwiched in between the two inner cones after the inner cones are printed.

Here is the hardware you will need:

I recommend all stainless steel hardware since the raft will be used in water.
(6) 8-32 nuts
(2) 8-32 by 1" SHCS
(2) 8-32 by 1-1/2" SHCS
(2) 8-32 by 1-3/4" SHCS
(1) M10-1.5 by 60mm SHCS
(1) M10-1.5 hex nut

High quality silicone sealant.

The
inner cone is printed in two pieces so you can slide the inner pieces in the end of the raft tube, then use the SHCS to attach them together.
